Important: Registration limited to 1 Cynthia England class/student. Please specify 1st choice class, either class, or only this class with your registration.
This class works from a pattern rather than starting with design concepts.
Cynthia’s most popular class...This class will focus on making a small 19” x 17” landscape from a pattern, with a choice of 2 patterns/kits.
Fabric selection, organizational skills and construction methods will be addressed in class. No tracing involved; templates are preprinted onto freezer paper. For the sewing/piecing part of class, students will work from the “Smoky Mountains” pattern with quilt top fabric provided.
You will need to specify at time of registration which pattern & kit you would like:
Pattern 1: “Tranquil Lake” for the Landscape only class (this is the harder of the 2 patterns) This the first picture in the gallery below.
Pattern 2: “Smoky Mountains” for the Landscape only class. This is the second picture in the gallery below.

Picture Piecing Design and Sewing

Important: Registration is limited to 1 Cynthia England class/student. Please specify 1st choice class, either class, or only this class with your registration.
A two-part class where you will learn how to piece a small landscape as well as get a feel for how to designyour own project using the Picture Piecing technique. For the sewing portion, students will work from a small landscape. Irons required.
There is no tracing or template making in any of the sewing classes. The projects are machine sewn. Please do not do any prep work prior to class. The technique is much easier than it looks. If you can sew a straight line you can do this.
For the sewing/piecing part of class, students will work from the “Whale Watching” pattern with quilt top fabric provided.
